Kim Fink
Executive Director

Kim Fink is President of Sage Entertainment, Inc. and Executive Director of Rockdale Music. Over 10 years ago, Kim founded Makin' Music Rockin' Rhythms, a music enrichment program for families with young children. Since then Makin’ Music has grown to include over 20 locations nationwide and has won more national awards than any other children’s music program. Kim now brings her experience, enthusiasm and vision to creating Rockdale Music – the next step in musical training.


 


Paul Falcone

Business Development, Audio Engineer

Paul is excited to be part of the Rockdale family. Drawing from over 19 years in the music business, he is eager to help make Rockdale Music a unique, one-of-a-kind music community which will embrace creativity, talent and technology.

The son of a professional musician, Paul has been surrounded by music his entire life. He received his Bachelor's degree in Music Production & Engineering from Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has enjoyed a career as an audio engineer and has helped develop and launch a handful of music related business ventures.

As a drummer, he has performed on hundreds of studio recordings including all of the Makin' Music CDs. With a wife and two young sons, he no longer gets to play as often as he'd like but can still be heard playing live with the Makin' Music Band.

 

 




John T Whiteley III

Drum instructor

John T Whiteley III was born and raised in Upper Darby a suburb of Philadelphia Pa . Born into a musical family his dad a long time guitar and bass player for local bands and his mom a music fan often tells the tale of John the 3rd rocking and rolling in her tummy to the 1976 Philly Spectrum concert of Paul McCartney’s wings over America tour . John credits his dad for exposing all types of music on car rides or hanging at home. John received hands on experience due to involvement of the Upper Darby School District music program where he won awards for musicianship . He has been working as professional drummer since he was 18 playing in local night clubs and doing weddings and corporate affairs . John has also enjoyed teaching drums for the last 10 years to all ages and levels . He plays all styles of music with love and passion for every note .



 

 

Joan Topham
Acoustic and electric guitar instructor

Joan began learning guitar at the age of 12. As a teenager and young adult, she performed in all types of bands in the Philly area, playing everything from Led Zeppelin to Barbara Streisand. Her teaching experience spans over 25 years. She specializes in rock, blues, and folk styles. Joan also writes and performs with a contemporary Christian band (Created 4 Worship) in the Delaware County area and is a Makin’ Music instructor.



Joe Sheeran
Acoustic and electric guitar instructor

Joe has loved music all his life. He started to learn and play the guitar at a very early age. During high school, Joe played in bands that were performing locally. He continued studying and playing guitar at college which made him versatile in many different playing styles such as rock, blues, country, and classical. His band, 3 Way Street, has been performing at clubs, weddings, and special events for the past ten years.
Joe loves teaching guitar and has successfully taught many students of all ages. He has a very encouraging and patient approach to teaching. His method includes the use of audio backing tracks that he creates for students which improves timing and at the same gives the student a feeling of playing with a band. Joe is an experienced guitar player who loves sharing his musical knowledge with his students. He is married with two young boys who also seem to be interested in music.

 

Dan Reiner
Piano and guitar instructor

Dan Reiner is a professional musician from the greater Philadelphia area with over 18 years of experience playing the piano and 12 years of experience playing the guitar and bass. Being one who began instruction at the age of 8, Dan has a great understanding of the importance of music in a child's life. As a teacher, he is committed to creating a fun and meaningful learning environment for his students, with an emphasis on creativity and expression. In addition to teaching music, Dan also works as a producer/engineer and session musician in a professional recording studio (Tribesound Records), and plays regularly in the Philadelphia area in various bands. If you want to rock, then Dan is your man!

Zubair

Zubair Latib

Bass, acoustic and electric guitar and piano instructor

Zubair Raymond Latib has been working with kids though summer camps to sports camps and coaching since 8th grade. He’s been playing music for about 10 years know in bands and in academic settings. He went to West Chester University and gradated with a degree in Music performance and philosophy. He’s been playing many instruments for years and looking forward to having a successful music career.
