Our songwriting class is designed for ages 10 and up! Whether you’re a beginner who’s never written a song before or an experienced songwriter looking to hone your craft, we’ll provide the tools and guidance you need to unlock your creativity and express yourself through music.
You will learn a structured approach to songwriting, covering everything from the foundational building blocks of music theory to advanced techniques for crafting compelling melodies and lyrics. You’ll also explore how to develop your song ideas, create emotional journeys within your music, and utilize industry “secret” tools.
Some of the specific topics covered include rhyme schemes, chord progressions, stressed and unstressed syllables, song structure, emotional arcs, and demo recording techniques.
Absolutely! A highlight of our program is the opportunity to record a demo of your original song at Rockdale Studios. This professional recording session will allow you to capture your musical vision and create a tangible representation of your creative work., gaining practical experience and building your confidence.
No prior experience is required. Our instructors will guide you through everything you need to know, starting with the basics and progressing to more advanced techniques.
Songwriter’s camp is $450/week. We offer sibling and multiple-week discounts, as well as early bird discounts for those who register before March 1st.
