There’s more to Rockdale than just our teachers! Today we’re talking to Jenn, the rockstar admin that keeps the school running like a well-oiled machine.
If you’re new to Rockdale, Jenn will most likely be the first person you speak to at the studio! She’s been holding it down on the admin side of things, and we don’t know how we did it without her before she joined the Rockdale squad. Jenn is truly the glue that holds it all together at the studio.
Let’s get to know her!
What brought you to Rockdale initially?
Both of my kids take lessons at Rockdale, and it just so happened that Jared was looking for help with the administrative side of things. I was looking to rejoin the working world again, so it was being in the right place at the right time!
What’s your favorite thing about working at Rockdale?
Rockdale feels like family. Even though I’m not on the teaching side of things, I still feel like I am 100 percent part of the Rockdale Squad. I also really enjoy being able to see some of the teachers perform now that live music is back!
And last but not least, I love seeing the kids performing, they really give it their all and you can tell they really love every minute of it, and that makes my heart happy.
What have you been listening to lately?
I’ve been listening to a lot more local stuff lately. Snap Infraction, Cosmic Guilt, Scantron, Dawn Drapes, Ali Awan, and Hey Slow are in heavy rotation these days.
What’s a fun fact we might be surprised to learn about you?
Me and my husband Steve, are currently working on building up our vinyl collection. We enjoy going to record stores and could spend hours just digging through crates!
